Did you know there is a canine
co-pilot? A skateboarding cat? A surfing piglet? Did your career’s advisor tell
you it was possible to get a job as a potato chip taster or a feet and armpit
sniffer? And for your holidays, what about visiting the secret city of Shi
Cheng deep underwater, or taking part in the annual zombie walk?
Believe it or not, these are all
true! And there are so many more weird and amazing things to discover in the
2016 edition of Ripley’s Believe It or
Not!
From the incredibly eye-catching 3D
cover of a squid with human teeth (or the appearance of) to the brightly
coloured glossy pages this is an appealing book for all ages to goggle over,
marvel at and share. It is fun, often disgusting and always a talking point.
The beginning is interesting too as
it explains the background and inspiration for the Ripley Believe It or Not! books,
the man himself, and how all these obscure oddities are collated.
It was an extremely hard book to
review as every time I went to pick it up it had disappeared, taken by someone
in the house to read – again.
Dip into its pages and discover
another bizarre fact that you didn’t know you had to know!
