Milly’s life is about to become a whole lot more interesting, not because she
is about to become a big sister for the first time, but because she is about to
meet Eliza Vanda.
Eliza Vanda (friends call her EV) is a dressmaker who comes to stay at one of
the four cabins that Milly’s father owns in Tidgy Bay. Milly is intrigued by EV
from the moment they meet, and rightly so, there is much more to her than meets
the eye. The mysterious EV soon introduces Milly to a fascinating new world…and
it all begins with her magical button box!
The book’s embossed hardcover and pretty cover design are gorgeous, and the colour
palette of predominately pinks and greens makes it one that will stand out in a
collection. The exquisite endpapers complete the impressive visuals and are a
personal favourite.
Eliza Vanda’s Button Box is a middle grade fantasy novel written by the award-winning
author, Emily Rodda. This charming narrative has a fairy tale vibe and will
surely delight fans of magic and mystery. It is highly recommended for readers aged
ten years and older.
