Three indigenous women present this illustrated skinny
book series about school, sport, friendship, and family. Ash Barty is a
three-time tennis Grand Slam singles champion and former WTA World No 1. In Lost
Luck, Ash has a fun hockey game coming up with her friend James, but on the
day of the match, she wakes up on the wrong side of bed. For a start, it’s raining!
Everything seems too hard, and Ash can’t seem to look on the bright side. Will she
let her miserable mood ruin her day?
In Party Problem, Ash and James have been
invited to their friend’s birthday. It’s a fancy dress party and of course Ash
is dressed as a tennis player. But when she loses her favourite tennis racquet,
she is worried. The problem, of course, is will she find it?
These are simple chapter books with large font and
illustrated in black, grey, and white on every page. The reader, aged 7+ years,
doesn’t have to be a tennis player or fan to enjoy the stories.
