This is a larger
than usual board book aimed at children 3+ years old. It is a favourite episode
from the heart-warming and hit ABC pre-school television series. In this book, the baby Pea-Rexes are hungry and searching for some spicy Chillipede
snacks. They usually hunt in pods of Pea-Rexes, but this time Ginger the
Tricarrotops is with them. There’s only one problem: Ginger is very, very
noisy!
On their
quest for food, the Pea-Rexes come across two evil Bananaraptors who’ve been
sleeping nearby. Then they find some Chillipede tunnels where they munch and crunch
on their favourite snacks. Ginger, however, has such a spicy Chillipede that he
cries out loud. His cries echo through Vegesaur Valley, waking up the two
sleepy Bananaraptors. Suddenly, the Bananaraptors are right behind her. Fortunately,
the Pea-Rexes know what to do: they challenge the Bananaraptors to catch them.
But then they make the two dizzy but leading them around and around the
Chillipede’s home. The Pea-Rexes chase the spicy Chillipedes out of their
tunnels into the mouths of the Bananaraptors’ mouths.
Like the
other books in the series, this one has a theme of friendship, with this one
about friends helping one another to solve problems.
The book is
brightly coloured with computer-generated illustrations.
