Best buddies Quint and Dirk are thrilled that they are starring in a book of their very own, especially since June got her own spin-off story (Book 5.5)!
Continuing from Book 7, Jack and June are left battling Thrull, and Quint and Dirk are about to take on the Bone Howler, Thrull’s loyal servant. When things go awry, Quint is forced to use his conjuror’s cane to try and defeat the Bone Howler and save the mall’s citizens. However, his novice conjuring skills return an unexpected result. Upon meeting Kimmy, the ‘brain poker’ telepath, they accept a quest to slay the Drakkor in return for a rare mapparatus that will assist them to return to help their friends Jack and June. Their hero quest will take persistence, courage, and teamwork and include encounters with a myriad of interesting and troublesome characters!
Quint and Dirk’s Hero Quest is a highly illustrated middle grade novel, part of The Last Kids on Earth series, set in a post-apocalyptic world. It would appeal to readers who enjoy adventure stories, humour, and the supernatural. The Last Kids on Earth is also an animated Netflix series.
